App Details
Connecting your Facturama account in your Shopify store allows you to do the following:
Customers
- New Customers that use Self-Invoicing from your Shopify store are added into your Customers Catalog in Facturama
- Repeat Customers that already exist in your Facturama account are updated based on the matching RFC
Invoices
- Customers can create their own Invoices after completing a purchase order at checkout or on your Shopify store through Self-Invoicing
- Generate Invoices from purchase orders in your Shopify store using Consult
- Generate Global Sales Invoices with up to 250 purchase orders in each Global Sale Invoice
Products
- Manually trigger an import of all Products from your Shopify account into your Product Catalog in Facturama as needed
- Set and apply general SAT Codes and Taxes to all Products created in Shopify, with the ability to customize for specific Products as needed
Connect the Facturama app in your Shopify Store
Download the Facturama app in your Shopify Store and set up your own Facturama account using the below steps:
- Log into your Shopify store
- Click on the Apps section, then search for Facturama and open the Facturama app
- Then click on Add App and then confirm by clicking on Install app
- If you already have a Facturama account, enter in your Username and Password, otherwise to create your Facturama account, enter in an Username (minimum of 6 characters or more, no spaces)
- Then enter in your RFC (12 or 13 characters)
- Next, enter in your Email address and again to confirm
- Next, add a Password (minimum of 6 alphanumeric characters or more)
- Click on the Register Now button, then click on Start
- On the Tax Profile section, enter your Tax Name, Company Name, RFC, Email, Phone Number, Tax Regime, and Address
- Then click Next
- On the Logo and Digital Seals section, click on Upload Logo and select a BMP, JPG or PNG image up to 180 x 180 px and maximum size of 1MB
- Then click on Upload Certificate and select your .cer file
- Next, click on Upload Key and select your .key file
- Enter your CSD Password
- Then click Next
- On the Configure Taxes section, specify the Use of the CFDI
- Then choose a SAT Code to use for all Products - if specific Products need different Units, this can be set later in Specific Assignment of SAT Codes and Taxes
- Next, choose a Unit for all Products - if specific Products need different Units, this can be set later in Specific Assignment of SAT Codes and Taxes
- Then choose an option for the Taxes, VAT, IEPS, Discounts, Shipping Charge, and Object Tax questions
- If needed, click on See additional options to reveal more settings on VAT 8%, Shipping Charge Code, Petitions, and Metafields
- Then click Next
- On the Set Up Account (Self-Invoicing) section, ensure CFDI Version is set to 4.0
- Next, choose the Tax Object
- Then choose the Office Branch and Series
- Choose whether you want to enable Self-Invoicing at Checkout for your Customers to invoice themselves at the end of their purchase
- Next, choose whether you want to activate In-Store Self-Checkout if you want the self-invoicing section to be displayed in your Shopify store - if you enable this, complete the Self-Invoicing steps below
- Under Restrictions, choose the time limit for the generation of the invoice
- Next, check the boxes off next to any Forms of Payment Types for Self-Invoicing that will be available to your Customers when they generate their Invoices from an order
- If needed, click on See additional options to reveal more settings on Restrictions
- Click Finish to complete your setup. Your Facturama account is now set up with your Shopify store, and you’ll be taken to the Consult section.
Notes:
- You can also log into your Facturama account directly anytime using the steps in How do I log into Facturama?
- Adding Addenda, Notes, or Bank Accounts to use on invoices in your Shopify store must be done through your Facturama account directly
Add Self-Invoicing Section to your Shopify Store
If you’ve chosen to enable In-Store Self-Checkout in step 16c above, complete the below steps to ensure the new Self-Invoicing page is added to your store’s navigation. This allows Customers to look up their order and create an Invoice with the order details:
- In your Shopify Store, click on the Online Store section
- Then click on Pages underneath the Online Store section
- Next, click on the Add Page button
- Add a Title for your page
- Next, add any Content needed
- In the Content field, click on the < > Show HTML button
- Insert <div id="facturama" style="display: block;"></div> in the bottom of your Content
- Then click Save to create this new page
- Next, under the Online Store section, click on Navigation
- Click on the Main Menu link
- Then click on Add Menu Item
- Next, add in a Name
- Click on the Link field, select Pages and then select the new page you made in step 8
- Next, click on the Add button, and then click on the Save menu button.
Your new Self-Invoicing page will now be available for your Customers to use to generate their own Invoices with their orders.
Customers can search for their Order Number and Purchase Total on the new Self-Invoicing page:
Then fill out their Invoice’s details to generate a new Invoice using your Facturama account. The generate Invoice will then appear in your Consult section in the Facturama App:
Access the Facturama App in Shopify
Once your Facturama app is set up in your Shopify store, you can access it anytime with these steps:
- Log into your Shopify store
- Then click on Apps
- Select Facturama under the list of Installed Apps and your Facturama app will open in a new window.
Note: To access additional features in your Facturama account like Addenda, Notes, or Bank Accounts, log into your Facturama account directly instead.
Facturama App Settings
Once your Facturama app is set up in your Shopify account, you can access the below settings:
Consult
See all purchase orders categorized by All, Without Invoice, With Invoice, Invoices without Purchase Orders and Payment Complements, and Credit Notes. Each purchase order will have either button:
- Invoice - Next to any order, click on the Invoice button to create a new Invoice with details from the purchase order already filled out for you

Invoiced - Orders that have been invoiced either by you or the Customer
- Preview - Click on the paper icon to preview the Invoice
- Download - Click on the down arrow icon to save the Invoice as a PDF
- XML - Click on the </> icon to view the Invoice in XML
- Email - Click on the envelope icon to send the Invoice by email

Cancel - Click on the cancel icon, then choose a Reason for Cancellation to cancel the invoice
- Only invoices that don’t require authorization can be cancelled
Menu
Use the Menu to access various options in your Facturama app:
- Tax Information - Update your company details and address as needed
- Manage Catalogs - Add Customers and Products
- Customer Catalog - Customers are automatically added whenever orders are placed in your Shopify store, click on Add Customer if you need to add a new customer not related to a purchase order
- Product Catalog - Click on Import Products to manually import any new Products from your Shopify store into your Facturama account, or click on Add Product if you need to add a new Product not related to a purchase order
- Configure Taxes - Set up SAT Codes and Taxes for your Products
- Set Up Account - Update your Self-Invoicing settings
- Generate Invoice 4.0 - Create an Invoice that is not related to a Shopify order

Reports - Generate a report of Orders without an Invoice or Clients Requesting an Invoice to be sent to a specific email address

Generate Global Invoices
Create a Global Sales Invoice with up to 250 purchase orders anytime with the below steps:
- Open your Facturama account in Shopify
- In the Consult section, click on the Without Invoices tab
- Click on the Show 10 Entries dropdown and select 250
- Check the box at the top next to Status to select all 250 orders, or check the boxes off next to the orders you want to create an Invoice for
- Then click on the Generate Global Invoice button and click Yes to confirm
- Specify the Office Branch, Series, Date, and Payment Method
- If needed, include a Note and choose the Related CFDI
- Next, specify the Period, Month, and Year this Global Invoice covers
- Click on the Generate Invoice button and your Global Invoice will be generated.
FAQs
How do I customize the SAT Code and Taxes for a specific Product?
If you have one or several Products that require a different SAT Code and Tax than the General SAT Code and Tax applied during your setup, you can use the below steps. Once a Product is updated to a different SAT Code and Tax, it will no longer be updated any time you make changes in the Configure General SAT Codes and Taxes section.
For a Product
- Open your Facturama account in Shopify
- Click on Menu
- Then click on Configure Taxes
- Next, click on the Specific Assignment of SAT Codes and Taxes section
- In the row of information next to any specific Product, click on the SAT Product Code or Unit Code fields and edit as needed
- If needed, click on any other text under any header to edit more information
- Click on Save Taxes at the bottom and your Product(s) will now have new SAT Codes and Taxes.
For a Group of Products in Bulk
If you have more than one Product that needs its own different SAT Code and Tax, you can update a group of them using these steps:
- In the Shopify store, click on the Products section
- Then search for specific products and check the box(es) next to the Products you want to add Taxes to
- Click on the … More Actions button in the bottom
- Then under the Apps heading in the dropdown, select Assign SAT Code and Taxes
- Check the box off next to Activate this option if you want to assign the values of the SAT Codes to the selected products
- Next, enter the SAT Product Code, SAT Unit Code, and Unit
- Check the box off next to Activate this option if you want to assign Taxes to the selected products
- Next, specify the IEPS % and VAT %
- Then for if the Product is a single unit or not, choose Yes or No and choose the CFDI 4.0 Tax Object
- If needed, click on Requirements Number to add a Requirement Number and Amount for Customs Information
- Click on Save to finish and all selected Products will reflect the new SAT Codes and Taxes.
How do I create an Invoice?
If you need to generate Invoices not related to a purchase order on Shopify, use the below steps:
- Open your Facturama account in Shopify
- Click on Menu in the top right corner
- Then select Generate Invoice 4.0
- Follow the rest of the steps in How do I create an Invoice? to make your Invoice.
